I'm literally locked up in my office cause there is mini-war between the police and the protestors outside.

That's tear gas. They even threw some bombs into the mall.

Dont worry, im not in danger. I'm actually indoors and with conditioned air. The government doesn't track people because of social media, they are.mainly interested in dissolving huge gatherings of people.

What is the protest about anyway? I mean, what has the president done wrong? I have no idea about politics in that part of the world.

Not easy to form an opinion ...
Part of me tells me that the witch is right but the other part of me does not believe her...

TBH I will not vote for pn this time irrespective of the outcome...
I will vote for a smaller party or maybe not vote at all...

What is very suspicious is the fact the Police seem to be reluctant to act

In my opinion the actions of several people after the leak kind of prove it.

As you said, the police are not acting. A raid should obviously have been done but there was nothing at all, not even some sort of surveillance.
The owner of the bank in question flew into Malta urgently, went straight to the office, and left with two huge bags. He had no reason to avoid journalists if it wasn't because he's hiding something big.
The PM merely denied every allegation and did not order an investigation to prove himself correct.

Apart from this, what this journalist (or as you call her, the witch) has revealed before about the Panama case and other PEPs was all proven true by the Panama Papers. And really, it all makes sense. Many shady deals or questionable appointments over the past few years fit in with the story. It's like when you finally find that last piece of the jigsaw puzzle that allows you to connect separate pieces.

BTW, last Tuesday: ;)

Update: an investigation has been called by the PM now... some 5 hours after the press conference. I wonder why he didn't call for it in front of the press immediately...

The Prime Minister held a press conference this evening to announce that he and his spouse will take legal action against me, rather than to say something more appropriate in the circumstances and more fitting for a prime minister.

Then, after the bank’s chairman had safely fled the building carrying large bags of documents which will now probably leave the country with him, Muscat announced that he will appoint a magistrate to hold an inquiry into the matter of Egrant Inc and his wife’s (lack of) involvement.

Too late, chaps. The documents have followed Elvis out of the building. Nobody’s going to find them again.

And meanwhile, the Police Commissioner who thinks that the Prime Minister’s genitals are so fabulous (he said as much on Facebook) was busy eating rabbit with his man-friends in Mgarr.

The Prime Minister is facetious, of course: it is the Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit which investigates these matters and not magistrates randomly appointed by the Prime Minister to investigate his own wife’s affairs (which means also his).

But when the FIAU investigated his chief of staff, Keith Schembri, and his Energy Minister/Minister with the Office of the Prime Minister, Konrad Mizzi, the Prime Minister ignored the report completely and so did his stooge Police Commissioner. [source]

Everything. Inflation is about 20% monthly, many people can't afford food, the Supreme Court has unilaterally and unconstitutionally declared Congress to be illegal and taken legislative functions for itself, several of the most popular opposition leaders have been prohibited to run for elections, state governor's elections scheduled to be held by the end of 2017 have been unconstitutionally been cancelled, there are also about 5-10 death protestors. The country is a mess, and it can rightfully be said that Venezuela is under a dictatorship today.

PD: I'm already home and safe :)
