An entire cinema (Cinema 16, around 600 people) dying with laughter, even though it probably wasn't intended to be funny. You'll probably realize which scene I'm talking about when you see it.

Spoiler: show
When Azog falls underwater. It was so ridiculously done after the long battle sequence. Although it was obvious he wasn't dead since Thorin had to die as well.

Watched Kill Your Darlings yesterday because I was forced to. It's not rated well and is a bit of a feminine movie imo but I surprisingly enjoyed it (note: includes some mild homosexual scenes).

How is it ? Is it in 16:9 and 1080p ? I remember reading that the creator David Simon did not choose widescreen format for the reason that the show would look less realistic.

Simon did have a lot of trouble remastering it but he managed to find a solution. It does not look less realistic at all. The difference is not THAT massive from the original but certain scenes set in an exterior setting - like the docks etc you definitely notice it.

I watched The Imitation Game two days ago. It was really good. I highly recommend it.

8/10

Spoiler: show
Morten Tyldum is my main man, if you haven't seen Headhunters/Hodejegerne, I highly recommend that one as well; even though the book is better than the movie.

Last night after long 16 years - Le Gendarme de Saint Tropez.

Image

Ludovic and co. in action, I can't believe it how long I didn't watch this, but these French comedies were my favorite thing between 1994-1997. I used to watch two time a week how I was obsessed with that movie. =P~ =P~ =P~ =P~ The worst(or best depending how I look on that) thing, I almost forgot everything and when I was watching it was was like the first time. :P

Saw a couple of movies during my free time-
The theory of everything- could win quite a number of awards, much better than the 2004 TV drama mini-series Hawking by Benedict Cumberbatch
The Imitation game- Benedict Cumberbatch's best acting performance on the cinemas- which should ultimately deserve him of winning best actor in the oscars. Overall great portrayal of Alan Turing but they don't go in depth into the later life of Turing after WW2.
Taken 3- very forgettable, since the best movie out of the series is Taken 1.
American Sniper- great scenery, but its more of a tragedy than an action movie.
FC Bayern, Stern des Südens, du wirst niemals untergehn...

Mehmet Scholl once offered a mixtape CD to Oliver Kahn. Kahn replied: Do you want me to shoot myself? Keep your crap to yourself.

The Hobbit The battle of the five armies.

"Let these lands run with blood", said the Orc Leader. What blood ? Yay for PG-13. :P The battle would have been awesome if it was like in Berserk.
