Yeah, that's what I was wondering. Not a fan of Firefox and Edge seems to be lacking in extensions. Was wondering whether anyone uses or has experience with other browsers beyond what you find in online articles.

Depending on what you're willing to give up and what you expect from the browser. Firefox's extension collection and extension-framework are much muuuchh better than Chrome's. Chrome limits extensions in way too many things, but it also has better defaults. IMO both browsers are interchangeable.

If you are willing to give up on extensions, then there are lots of faster browsers. Bonus: keyboard-only browsers with Vi-like keybindings rule (don't remember if the one I know is Vimperator, Vimium or something like that.

I just stick to Chrome for its default touches and session syncing across devices and platforms.

There's Opera too. It uses the same rendering engine as Chrome nowadays and also has an inbuilt ad blocker and VPN (you need to enable both from the settings)

I use Cyberfox just because I am too accustomed to using firefox and its extensions since a long time. But in speed, every modern browser is the same. Oh yes, the browser renders 0.3164s faster. Damn boi!

It's not speed that's an issue as much as the RAM usage. Sometimes it can be a problem when I'm running a number of other things.

Of course, it wouldn't be such a problem if I had a more decent PC. :P But trying to fix it short term until I invest.

Last I read a benchmark, Firefox used the least amount of RAM when having multiple tabs open but wasn't the best when releasing memory after closing the tabs. Or the way round. Can't remember. It was long time ago. Probably things changed.

So my pc is suddenly slow as hell. Disk usage is constantly at 100%, and the only process taking it is "System". This is happening after power went out a couple of times Saturday and my pc was turned on... I'm afraid HD will soon die, as I've been using it A LOT for 5 years. Guess I'll need to buy a new one ASAP.

Sounds like the problem I had three months ago. Won't please you to know that the pc suddenly died about 3 weeks ago. :(

haha actually a clean install of the OS did it for me... It's been more than a year since I've last done this. But still I have to look for a new drive.
