My company told us to take our passports to Malta this time as it will not be in the Schengen area for a few weeks.

Do you guys know why?

I think it should be re-opening on the 3rd so you'll need them to get in. As ramsej said, security issue.

The most caragous take ther first one by the end of March or April.
I take mine in July:-)
Winter is quite mild but foreigners still feel the cold because the level of humidity is very high.
The coldest months are Jan and Feb. Dec not so cold.
Temp vary between 8 - 15 in the mornings and 3-10 at night.

I can't track them down because I can't remember who posted them, but I saw photos of people swimming last week and this weekend. :P But we're having a hotter than usual month.

I'm expecting it to turn cold suddenly and quickly in December. Something similar happened last year.

Also hoping for a winter as cold as last year's, which was one of our coldest.

I guess there should be halal restaurants in Malta, or at least vegetarian, or vegetarian alternatives in restaurants there... Isn't it the case?

I am surprised that we have all this...I just googled out of curiosity and found it... I was only aware of Alibaba in Gzira cause I know the Lebanese owner as he is our client [source]

We're seeing a slow but steady rise in the number of such establishments. I've tried one or two and they're excellent. :)

You should vegetarian options in pretty much every restaurant I think too.

There is a valid reason to this... Since the new Govt took over the rise of Libyans in Malta went up by not less than 400%

Hey I never said I wouldn't... Just maybe postpone it at least till Easter or something like that... I'm freezing enough around here already, no need to do that on vacation... :P

Hard to find somewhere warmer in December I think, unless you cross the Equator.

However, I honestly wouldn't visit Malta in December. Christmas time is much more beautiful elsewhere.
