You were fast enough to stalk Alonso though... not that surprising, 4km/h is enough to get him. Easy prey. :P

You don't get stuck frequently at Kappara junction don't you ? You then have to allow the time in case you get stuck behind the guy driving at 30km/h while busy picking his nose and then you have to find parking at Hamrun. <<< Got you ! I should have put a humour warning
Of course if you avoid rush hours there shouldn't be any problems.
But seriously once it really took me 2 hours to drive from Rabat to Marsa, leaving at 08:00am after a storm sometime around last September when schools restarted. In some places cars were stuck for so long in jams that they were turned off.

@ bayernbazi that must have been when I opened the ''frustration thread'' and posted the following
I had the idea to open up this thread. You can post your frustrations here:

''It was raining this morning : and as usual the maga traffic jams tripled on our roads...
It took me precisely an hour to travel 3km from home to work. Usually I take 7-10 minutes.

I spent like 15 mins standstill in FCBayernmuenchen's street !

New videos - Gridlock, motorists pulled from flooded streets, wall collapses [source]''

Ah, that was the day where I tried to go to work one way, waited for 15 minutes without moving a metre, turned around and tried another road with the same result, went back to the first road, again same result, then went back home and worked remotely :)

That's the day !

MUTU
At least you could afford to do U turn around somewhere. I got trapped in that road to Zebbug which has central barriers all the way with no side streets, a real trap. Ironically stopping opposite that place called AUTOBAHN ](*,) . I spent 15 mins dreaming and reminiscing what driving on the real Autobahns means

I was lucky enough to have that day off. I'm still curious how it's possible that the entire island was at a standstill.

We really need to all meet up someday. :P I've only met MatZam (whom I knew before he joined the forum) and ramsej. Probably have seen MUTU at some point but never spoke to him. Wouldn't recognise the rest of you.

I couldn't remember where we spoke about this ...
The horror film The Mummy, starring Tom Cruise in the lead role, will not be filmed in Malta, Times of Malta has learnt.
The decision to shelve Malta was taken for "creative" reasons due to changes in the script, a source close to the production said.
The production team scouted various locations around Malta last January, especially Fort Ricasoli in Kalkara. Cruise, who was nominated for three Academy Awards and won three Golden Globe Awards, flew to Malta for a day in February to also inspect the locations.
The Mummy forms part of Universal’s resurgence of horror films based on its classic monster characters. The film was released in 1999, a loose remake of the 1932 film by the same name. It was followed by two instalments in 2001 and 2008, with the spinoff film The Scorpion King in between. [source]
