So, anyone watched the latest episode (Season 7, Episode 1) of The Walking Dead? Was quite disturbing, I reckon.

Yes, no one dies in the latter, except hope, slowly.

But Negan didn't keep his promise, despite saying he keeps his promises.

We watched it and it was the most intense one hour of TV we ever watched. PTSD for sure.

We sure do! I'm gonna need a list of shows you've watched and recommend!

Absolute favourites are Sherlock, Doctor Who, Breaking Bad (definitely recommend Better Call Saul if you haven't watched it; starts slow but starts getting interesting), Broadchurch (less known but honestly amazing... not many shows got me addicted as much as this and season 3 (should be the final one) is coming out next year). And now Stranger Things of course.

Not a huge fan of sitcoms but I like watching The Big Bang Theory (which I watched from beginning to end earlier this year after having come across episodes every now and then) and loved How I Met Your Mother (who didn't). I also recommend the slightly less known (outside the UK) The IT Crowd.

Others I recommend but aren't top favourites (off the top of my head) are Orange is the New Black, Mr Robot (haven't watched season 2 yet) and Atlantis. The latter isn't well known. Unfortunately it was cancelled midway through season 2 and although they finished the season, it doesn't provide full closure as it had already been filmed. But I enjoyed it.

At the moment I'm watching Class (a Doctor Who spinoff which premiered last weekend and is off to a good start) and definitely want to watch Westworld, Outlander, and Glitch.

Speaking of Sherlock: I definitely don't suggest that American show in which Watson is a woman. I watched 2 or 3 episodes and hated it so much I can't even remember the name right now. It's actually popular though so maybe you've seen it and like it. ;)

I'm almost embarrassed to say that I've almost watched ALL of those shows. Absolutely LOVED the first season of Broadchurch! Great to see David Tennant in a completely different role from The Doctor (he'll always be my favourite Doctor). Not to mention that one scene in the finale where they make the big reveal to one of the characters...you know the one I mean ;)

Haven't seen Breaking Bad yet, but that's mostly because I haven't gotten around to actually do it. It's been on my list for AGES!

If I can recommend a comedy: Parks and Recreation! First season isn't too good (luckily only 6 episodes) but it really kicks off after that. It's one of my all time favourite shows.

Westworld looks promising, will put that on the list as well! Have you tried 'Designated Survivor' on Netflix yet? Trailer looks SO good!

And I agree with you on Elementary (the American Sherlock show). Too much of a procedural for my taste. Paint by the numbers TV.

Told you we have a similar taste. :P

Ah yeah, Elementary. That's the name. As an aside, I'm an English major and half my dissertation focused on Sherlock Holmes (well, one novel really) and for some reason that makes people want to ask me about my opinion on Elementary. Happened at least 3 times in the past year.

David Tennant is fantastic but tbh as far as the Doctor is concerned I'm a huge fan of Capaldi in his current role (he makes a surprise cameo in the first episode of Class :D ). Not saying he's better but it's a close call for me. As for Broadchurch, I'm not sure whether I prefer season one or two. They're fantastic in different ways. Looking forward to the next one. Probably a similar show is True Detective. Haven't watched it but it's apparently very good.

I watched Breaking Bad recently too. I think it was this year actually. At first I couldn't get why there was so much fuss about it but by the end I agreed that it deserves it and the BB storyline is the main reason (IMO) why Better Call Saul is so good.

Haven't heard of either Parks and Recreation or Designated Survivor. Looking up trailers now, thanks!
