"13 reasons why." I could only find 8 reasons to watch. After that it got boring.

First one I've heard say that. I haven't watched it yet but plan to give it a try, although it might be too much.

MaCk0y wrote:pyrasur Did you enjoy Baccano!? One of the best IMO. I hope you watched it in English. And you're following it with the best TV series IMO.

Now in regards to One Piece, are you willing to watch almost 800 episodes and counting? :D I started watching it when I was still a teenager on Italian TV! I liked it so a few years after they stopped broadcasting, decided to start it again from beginning in Japanese because the characters and the setting intrigued me and thus kept watching it.

It' not without faults. As like most shounen anime, episodes are short; around 17min, fillers so not to catch up with the manga and they take too long to get to fight the boss in a saga. It has some great soundtrack though and the animation improves over time. I mostly like how the characters progress overtime and their backstory. And in the early parts of the anime, they had some really good funny moments that made me cry with laughter.

If you are not overwhelmed by the number of episodes and have time to watch it, give it a try.

Damn that's a lot. Normally I stick to shows that the creators kill after 13 episodes because they respect their work too much to let it die a slow death. My exception was watching Legend of the Galactic Heroes but that was only so I could get some street cred and look down on anyone who hasn't persevered through it.

Baccano I watched in English. One of those shows that's just fun. I'm glad I followed it up with the Wire though because I was starting to have faith in people again and that's always dangerous :P

Oh I really liked that one!! Last episode was a tough watch tho, and definitely not recommendable for everyone.

After watching The Wire you should watch two other series 'related' to The Wire. First there is what I call a 'prequel' to The Wire, called Homicide: Life on the Street. They try to solve a case every episode so different from The Wire but really good. Based on the book by the creator of The Wire. There are several guest stars from The Wire in younger form. :) They stretched it a bit though and there's a TV movie in addition. The second is called The Corner. Again, several actors from The Wire appear and it's only six episodes. Both are set in Baltimore.

I started to watch The Man in the High Castle with my girlfriend, we are halfway through the first season. It is quite interesting, as it is set in an alternate universe were the Axis won World War II.

Jodie Whittaker will be the thirteenth Doctor.

This is one of the few shows in which I think casting someone from the opposite gender as the main character can work, and I loved Michelle Gomez as the Master, but I'm not sure how this one will be working out. Of all the actresses Chibnall could have brought with him from Broadchurch it's this one?

Finally got around to watching Designated Survivor and I binge watched the entire thing (about 15 hours) yesterday and today.

Our similar taste in shows continues Roonzil. You recommended it in the early posts of this thread.

‘The Leftovers’ Is Officially an Elite HBO Drama, Thanks to the Emmys [source]

Being ignored by the Emmys puts "The Leftovers" right next to "The Wire" in an elite TV club — and it deserves the comparison.

Didn't know The Wire never won an Emmy. And not even Oz. I need to watch Six Feet Under. Always hear great things about it.
