Most sportmen/women make use of some sort of substances...
Even in darts...

They legalized drugs. Even in 3rd division footballers use substances and drugs. Nobody wants to be honest with that, but if you know someone who is a hard-working professional athlete who's living the sport, sleeping and waking up every day for it, he cannot make it without using substances.

Specific and strict food regime is an important factor and it cannot go without that, but also it cannot go without all sort of supplements and even more than just them. How could these professional football players run over 10 km, making around so many sprints on the pitch? Sure, they use it and none of them will admit.
Not to mention American professional sports, that is a completely another world for the last 25-30 years(and I guess even more).

Those who don't have money to buy all sort of devices, build new infrastructure, install those special pools for exchanging body temperatures, bring quality fitness and physio stuff to work with all these things, buy those supplements... They'll be like a third world country or one century behind. :)

I didn't say that. Footballers don't get caught most of the time unless it's the Seria A. :P

Not every sport takes illegal drugs as I don't know anybody in car or bike racing that's taken illegal drugs. It's a very rare thing in motorsport. I'm a huge Moto GP and World Superbikes fan along with UFC and Indy Wrestling, including WWE NXT that I'm seeing in December where they are hitting London for the PPV I heard they are doing.

If we are talking about the Rugby World Cup, I saw it coming to be honest on England being out because they have been playing absolutely terrible this year in the Six Nations that I knew they had no chance of winning the World Cup. They gave away far too many penalties and it cost them big time. Oh and I also love watching Ice Hockey as I did last night with Washington Capitals beating New York Islanders 5-2. I support Washington Capitals, Dallas Stars, Chicago BlackHawks and Anaheim Ducks. Oh and I also support Hannover Scorpions in German Ice Hockey.

I was looking for this thread... thanks Fizz
I don't know how many of you are interested in waterpolo; our National team (Malta) qualified for the very first time for a major tournament!
The tournament will be hosted by World Champs Serbia in Jan 2016.
We were drawn in a very tough group which includes the same Serbia, Croatia and France.

Yep. Current world champions as well as current Olympic champions. :?

Locally I am way more into waterpolo than football. However, I've hardly ever seen an international waterpolo game where Malta was not playing.

Not interested in rugby at all, but three world cups in nine months for English teams and three disastrous group stage exits. Football, cricket (which I am interested in) now rugby. Something is very wrong with English sport and cricket and rugby can't blame money spoiling the national game as there's none in either, especially cricket

Nothing wrong with United Kingdom in Olympics or bike racing however. We were 3rd overall in 2012 Olympics and we've had a far share British World Superbike champions over the last few years with Tom Sykes in 2013 and Jonathan Rea this year and we might have a British Moto 3 champion as well if Danny Kent keeps his race pace up. Same with F1 though as well with Lewis Hamilton as much as I hate that guy with a passion.

But actually England have taken part in 5 World Cups in the nine months. In the Women's World Cup England did really decent on being in the Semi Finals for the first time ever and then won the Third Place Play off match, capturing themselves a bronze medal for it. As for Rugby, England Women's team won the whole thing last year so it's not necessarily anything wrong with the women's English sport side of things. It's more the men's teams that have a problem regarding national sports side of things.
