Not just trying to "rub salt in the wounds," I had a similar experience last weekend: Pirates demolished in the Wild Card game, Steelers losing (at home) to the previously winless Bucs, and Pitt getting beat by Akron( yeah you heard that right Akron)!

At least we have this wonderful machine called Bayern to bring us out of our "sports" depression!!!

A Steel Curtain fan huh? Nice to know :D Though its just a joke the last couple of seasons.. sadly.. Missing the playoffs 2 years in a row by just 1 game.. Losing against the Buccs of all teams and now this not great win against Jacksonville.. Pfff.. I hope they prove me wrong, but if they dont pick up their game it will be again bye bye playoffs, especially against the best teams in the NFL

And the amount of penalties they're committing is just disturbing. I can't remember a more undisciplined Steelers team. I hope I'm wrong too but, this looks like another 8-8 team.

Hehe yeah, only the 49ers had more penalties this season i believe :P Yep, thats my other love, a bit more then the Steelers atm. Just because you Always hope again for that clean win, but the Steelers Always disappoint.. They have some good players, but the majority is not Steelers material.

Do running routes have many degrees of mastery or you just follow the pattern your quarterback orders you to run?

Depends.. Ofcourse there are a lot of plays that are just studied and studied and studied etc. But there are also the so called trick plays, that are improvised at the spot, based on the defense of the opponent. There are cases a player does something else then what the Original plan is.. ( Frank Gore TD versus Philadelphia )

He was not even supposed to be in the play really, but he saw that Kaepernick had a bit of a problem to have a target, so he ran a bit to the outside and got the ball and made a 55 yard passing TD and that as a RB :P

That sounds like some quick thinking  how does a runningback for example know if a quarterback is handing off to him or is it a play action during a read option?

Watching the Texans vs Steelers game... It looked like another dramatic Steelers game, shitty offense and defense.. But the last 5 minutes in that first half are crazy... Steelers with 3 TD's :S Very agressive defense.. How come they dont show this like 99.9% of the time :LS

^^I wish I knew the answer to that. I guess injuries have played a small part. Unfortunately it looks like they can only give "max effort" every other game!

Not a fan of horse-racing but had to chuckle when I saw that (world-renowned trainer) Bob Baffert won his first Breeders Cup Classic race on Saturday. The name of his horse? Bayern. Coincidence? I think not! :P
