Psychaz wrote:if the trade goes though, NJ won't be any where near elite, they will be above average at best, RIP hamilton is washed up, Billups declining, why the hell would Carmelo sign with that roster, he won't and denver know it but they aren't gonna say that

I have Came up with a trade that Might convince Carmelo to join Nets

and also makes Billups stay in Denver , and Harrington leaves them

Denver Receive

2 First Round picks

Ben Uzoh
Quinton Ross
Troy Murphy
Kris Humphries
Mikael Pietrus

(all of those have expiring contracts , which means they get 22 millions expiring contracts)

New Jersey Nets Receive Carmelo Anthony

Suns Receive Al Harrington (they need a PF)
======================
New Jersey Nets Line-up

C Brook Lopez
PF Derrick Favors
SF Carmelo Anthony
SG Anthony Morrow
PG Devin Harris

then they try to draft a SG from their remaining picks
==============================
Denver Line-up

C Nene
PF Kenyon Martin
SF Mikael Pietrus
SG JR Smith
PG Chauncey Billups

But Dont Forget that they have received 5 Expiring Contracts with value of 22 million
and already have Expiring Contracts with Value of 28 Millions

Which means that their Total Expiring contracts value will be 50 millions

Jr Smith will resign for the same (7 millions)
and Kenyon Martin Will resign for 4 millions instead of 16.5 millions
also Aaron Afflalo also extend for 3 millions
Anthony Carter Gets another minimum contract
Mikael Pietrus Extends for 4 millions

which leaves them with 32 million cap salary which they can use to sign Some Free Agents

They sign 2 Free Agents (kirilenko and one of Redd/Zach Randolph)

and Draft a SF + A SG/PF (depends who they sign from Redd and Randolph)

Their team will be

C Nene / Chris Andersen
PF Rookie PF/Kenyon Martin/Balkman
SF Andrei Kirilenko /Rookie SF /Mikael Pietrus
SG JR Smith /Michael Redd/ Afflalo
PG Billups/ Ty Lawson/Anthony Carter

===============
Phoenix Line-up

C Marcin Gortat
PF Al Harrington
SF Grant Hill
SG Vince Carter
PG Steve Nash

a little improvement for them

they want Favors, in the end if Melo goes to Jersey, it will be in a trade with just Denver and the Nets IMO

, Favors Leaving New Jersey wont even Make Carmelo go to New Jersey

because the team then wont be strong enough for His taste especially if they have to give 2 picks away

about A Trade to New york , the only way to do that is a Garnett-like Trade (7 Young knicks for Carmelo)

its hard, if you were the Nets would you rather trade Lopez or Favors, bigtime potential or a proven player?

if they don't use him in the deal for Melo, most likely will, their gonna trade him for Chris Paul, Melo and Paul have the same agent don't they? Melo wants to team up with Paul and he can do it in Brooklyn

The current deal i don't see happening, i don't think Denver have any intentions to pull the trigger and never did

There is no deal for Melo if Favors isn't going to Denver....

I'm not sure what the Nest are trying to gain out of this trade, we already have a garbage team full of scrubs. Our management is stupid for trading away any good player we had for Lebron who snubbed us for Miami, now we are stuck with a talentless team, nothing attractive to a guy like Melo.

In my opinion, Melo will just wait and sign with the Knicks in the summer.

and if favors leave , carmelo wont want to go there because he want have a reliable teammate

the whole Denver to Nets thing is not going to Work

Best thing is Anthony using his ETO , and sign for Knicks who need to create some salary cap space

don't think Denver will let that happen, if he wouldn't have said anything all season about trades, New York etc and said that he's just keeping his options open, much like LeBron did he could do that(leave for nothing and sign for NY as FA), i don't see Melo telling Denver knicks or bust, he doesn't want to burn bridges.

THE ULTIMATE DAY OF HUMILIATION

Phoenix 98-132 Denver (34 Points Difference)

But this is Just Amazing

Cleveland 57-112 Lakers (lakers won with 55 points , scored nearly twice as much as Cavs)

Kobe bryant played less than 30 minutes and scored 13 points with 50% FG ,and assists with a +/- Rating of +46 !!!!! THAT IS BY FAR THE HIGHEST THIS SEASON

cant imagine what would have happen to Cleveland if kobe played 36 Minutes !!!!

Cavaliers have given up, the playoffs for them is the NBA lottery and winning the championship is the number 1 pick, they realised that a while ago

besides , if you check history , The Team with the Worst Record HAS NEVER Got the first pick

BTW : What can you tell me about the highest projected players (perry jones , Harrison Barnes , Enes Kanter)

Also Kobe Bryant scored 17 points in the last 6 minutes

Did yall see Lebron's twitt after the LAL and CAV game...lol

But seriously, I also think they've given up on this season; although there is still some time left, and are probably hoping on getting the number 1 draft pick. It was always going to be very difficult for them, after lebron's exit with one of their better players. At least that's better than Toronto; they never make the playoffs but are not bad enough to get a favorable position with the draft lottery, and then they let go of their best players.
