You're wrong, because Indonesian is the best

Anyway, any Moroccan dishes you can share? Definitely would try to cook some.

Do you know what makes a cuisine great ?
1- Large range of fruits, vegetables, spices, meats and seafood produced locally.
2- Interactions and exchanges with other cultures and nations over the centuries.
3- Royal kitchens that hosted the best cooks over the centuries.

I guess Indonesia have all that

Besides, do you eat alone or with people ?
I have lots of recipe ideas to show you, it depends on what you like to eat.

I've been to two different regions in Germany : Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg ... and I can say that the food was delicious in both regions... Out of the two I liked the latter slightly more...

Hopefully they keep up their food traditions and nothing alien takes over....

As for the best cuisine ... there is no doubt ... the Tuscan and the Italian in general is the best hands down...
The worst is the English :P

Still think it's Thai :P

Also, no one is taking over our cuisine, believe you me! ;)

What I don't get: You really like Baden-Württembergian cuisine better?!? What'd you have? And where did you stay? I think nothing beats traditional Bavarian cooking... Schweinshaxe, Schweinsbraten, Leberknödel, Sauerbraten, Knödel, Kartoffelsalat... gee, I'm hungry...
Thanks for nothing, :pep: !!

I was joking :P

We were in Hinterzarten in the middle of the Black Forrest ... Also went to Freiburg of course.
I remember very well the veal... and the lake fish... and even the typical sweets.
Tasted the local home made wine but forgot the taste  but I don't think it was that special.

In Munich I remember the duck, it was cooked so differently than what we are used to it here...
It was like whole... as if it was a chicken...
Here it is served in small cuts...
The waiter told me here is the lady duck :)

Yup, we rarely cut duck up in small pieces...
Also: I think German sausage products and most baking products have no match in the entire world... One of our strong suits... But our cuisine is more rustic and defty, while Italian or Thai is more excuisite...
Thanks for nothing, :pep: !!

We do!

I eat alone usually and I mostly make an individual dish and plate it as can be seen from my posts here. Anything will do but perhaps something that doesn't have to be made in such a large portion :)

@#12
why did you say thay you rarely serve it like we do? Are there any regions that you know that duck is served in cuts? And have you ever been to the Schwartzwaldland?

on a side note... We Maltese forumers should start to give more to this thread. We have a very rich cuisine.
It is mainly med... Influenced by the whole region from east to west and north to south.
However because of 179 yrs of British rule our cuisine suffered a bit the English influence...
However one can say that it is mainly influenced by the Sicilian cuisine and slightly North African.

Well, usually what we eat is duck as a whole or a medium-rare baked breast... I know of some soups or stews or individual recipes, but I don't think there are any particular regions where they prefer duck as goulash or anything... But: I have actually no idea how you guys do it so I don't want to assume anything untrue...
