To be honest I'm not entirely sure. It's an amazing waffles place run by Belgians which opened recently. I wanted to order a chocolate-coated waffle and they offered me these instead. Called them chocolate-coated mini-something. They're great and the inside tastes like coffee.

Waffle Bros in Ta' Xbiex. It's just round the corner in the street exactly in front of Mamma Mia restaurant.

It was delicious and I heard positive comments on the waffles as well. It's relatively cheap too (the one in the photo is 4 euros, most waffles are 3 without extra ingredients).

Dinner...
New York Strip (and a Rib-eye) with grilled onions and a side of grilled asparagus... Low-Carb
Pretty tasty...
Thanks for nothing, :pep: !!

@Dumble:

Ok... So I think I'm gonna go in the direction of this:

http://www.food.com/recipe/portuguese-paella-226218

Still thinking about the Schnitzel (obvioisly a home game for me ) - maybe I'll go with breaded Salmon (also something I consider "German")... Cause I don't think pork - which you're not gonna use anyway, I guess ;) - will go too well with it... Still torn
Thanks for nothing, :pep: !!

So it comes down to the battle of the Schnitzel? Damn that's gonna be tough for me to play away in Munich :P I'll most probably be using beef steak though. I'm gonna have to plate this dish to the max

Just to kinda bump this idea, don't know if #12 can fix a timing if we want to do a cook-off, but I just had a eureka moment this morning for a German-Portuguese dishand I'm definitely gonna make it whether we're doing the cook-off or not.

So #12 what do you reckon? :) And to MUTU and FCBayernMunchen how would the blog article work? Do you guys reckon we just write down the recipe and talk about it?

What I would do is agree between you what level you want to document at, write it down on paper or whatever with pictures and then on matchday it would be posted as a blog article. What do you think?

Level as in the stage of the cooking process?

I was thinking it might be a bit too long to have the full recipe and detailed step-by-step process especially if both #12 and I are doing it, so it might be worth just having:

1) List of ingredients
2) A paragraph or two explaining what is done to the ingredients, but not necessarily a full-on recipe
3) A few documentation (pictures) of some stages of the preparation, just as you said if I understand you correctly
4) Final picture of the dish and description

I'd be happy to do a lot of writing for this :D

I always find it hard to speak of "the best" when it comes to food... Tastes are different anyways... But I think every cuisine has its highlights and also some downs... Heck, there's German food that makes me wanna puke

You're wrong, because Indonesian is the best

Anyway, any Moroccan dishes you can share? Definitely would try to cook some.
