I don't know if there's a thread about betting but I'm curious about if people here bet and if they have any tips.
I'm on a bit of a hot streak, won 110€ from 30€.
I'm thinking of betting on these games next:
Darmstadt - Herta - under 2.5
Bayern (-2) - Ingolstadt - 1
Leverkusen - Gladbach - btts

I fail to see what's wrong with it, I always play with my extra funds, never risk big amounts of money and it makes for a more interesting evening. Anyways, who cares if you're against it, nobody forced you to comment on it.Save the Earth. It´s the only planet with beer.

no nobody... but I just expressed my opinion; am I entitled to ?
I think that with all due respect Betting Co. have ruined the sport. I've just learned that one of our local U19 matches was listed !!!
And from now on even women football will be available...
It is such a shame but that is the reality.

There is nothing wrong with betting, but a lot wrong with betting companies controlling results.
Like Paddy I bet as a way of entertainment, never anything big, just some extra euros. I tend to make a little extra cash out of it, don't usually lose much but I try to play safe bets. That said, I do sometimes play on more risky ones and I like it because it makes me watch games I normally wouldn't watch otherwise.
I was going through a very good streak last week. I played at least one bet almost every day between 1st and 8th December and won all of them, made quite a decent amount. But on Tuesday I lost on Juve and a draw no bet on Gladbach which I played when they were 2-1 up. Didn't play on Wednesday or yesterday.

I'm thinking of playing on my local team today, Sliema Wanderers. We're playing against a team 2 places ahead of us in the table but their GK is injured, one of their best players is injured, and we have a good recent record against them. This season and last season we faced each other 4 times, winning 4-1, 5-1, and twice 2-1. I found very good odds but still undecided.

great! I have these win streaks and then it cools off. But still think I'm in the green. After I lose a few bets in a row I tend to not bet for a while.

I used to be better in predicting first half and second half outcomes some years ago... used to do betting partnered by a schoolmate, we'd always find some games with good coefficients to bet on... and win something every week, starting with small bets and then bet everything we won again and again just for fun, we could keep a good winning streak for weeks... I don't do a lot of betting now... maybe once or twice a year, sometimes win and pay for beers to my friends. 
I agree that football most likely would be better without betting companies...

I've given up on betting ever since Rousey lost to Holm. Its just down to luck and I'll rather spend my disposable income now on something else.
