I can't really remember the best i've had. But a particular favourite is Orkney Best by the Highland Brewing Company

My go to beer in a pub is either Belhaven Best, Caledonian Best or Deuchars IPA.

I usually tend to pick sider over beer, but it was the only thing to drink, so I gave it a shot. I tasted really good and had a smooth taste.
I think when I get to Finland sometime, I'll grab a can or two.

While large producers can make fine beers - the Germans Augustiner, Paulaner, Franziskaner, Weihenstephaner, Hacker-Pschorr are all great - you can't really live in 2015 and not switch to indie beers. The gulf in quality between mass-produced and craft beers is just too great. Unfortunately so is the price. If I need to drink a case per night, yeah I'll switch to the local lager, but if it comes to actual taste, the saying "Once you go IPA you don't go back" is apt. The Brewdog Jackhammer IPA is a particular favorite ever since I visited their factory.

And, in the end, if you want a beer made with love and care, every supermarket has some fine Belgian Trappists.

Oh, one more, Made in Germany - the Schenkerla Rauchbier, by default go-to-starter-beer in my favorite pub.

Dude, speak for yourself. The craft brewing industry is kicking the shit out of Budweiser, Coors, Miller, etc. in the USA.

My favorite small craft breweries are Ballast Point, Lost Abbey and Ale Smith all based in Southern California. My everyday beer is either Firestone Walker Double Barrel Ale or Sam Adams Boston Lager. As for German beer, I've always been partial to Paulaner Oktoberfest Marzen or Ayinger Celebrator Doppelbock.

Life's too short to drink shitty beer.

Yeah, I get that. When you're 21 go out and discover real beer, not mass-produced corporate crap.

Yea I plan on that. Especially when I go to Germany next. I might go in the winter with my mom to see family in Munich

West coast is where it's at for beer. There is nothing in the south.

I still find it incredible that you need to be 21 to drink alcohol in the States.

It's self-righteous groups. Also new to me is this Southern "Sunday is a religious day so no one is allowed to buy alcohol on Sunday". Imposing their religion on everyone else, then complaining when Muslim citizens live according to Sharia law.

These are the ones that I've tried and liked: In no particular order-
Paulaner Hell lager
Paulaner Salvador
Weihenstephaner Hefe
Franziskaner Kristallklar
Paulaner Oktoberfest
Hacker Pschorr Oktoberfest

Its sad that for me living in Australia- these German beers are hard to come by and I've never tried Augustinerbrau before. Australian beer tastes much bitter but not as weak as the American beers.
