FIFA isn't FIFA if you don't rage. No matter how they make it pretty, the AI is still dumb. :x

Miscellaneous Video Games Thread

The one major positive i have about FIFA 14 is that they fixed the chipped and finesse shots which were abysmal in FIFA 13 but OP'd in FIFA 12 in my opinion. Also it seems a lot easier to attack down the middle if ur passing is good enough u should find the holes ;)

Started playing Crysis again this time with Blackfire's Ultimate Mod plus some other mods. 6 year old game puts to shame any 2013 game graphically.

Sony reveals its streaming service playstation now

Sony revealed PlayStation Now, an all-new games streaming service that will allow "classic" PlayStation games to be played across current-gen PlayStation hardware, as well as directly on other non-gaming platforms. PlayStation Now harnesses the power of Gaikai, the company Sony purchased for $380 million back in the summer of 2012.

The idea behind PlayStation Now is simple: you will ultimately no longer need to keep your PlayStation 3 around to experience games from that consoles. PlayStation Now will allow streaming of classics from that system to not only PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, but to televisions, tablets, and smartphones.

____

* They're trying to make multiplayer more interesting, but not necessarily more frequent than in previous games.

* Intending to further balance invasions by adding penalties for invading and failing.

* 7-8 total covenants in-game.

* Trying to expand on the idea of hunting down wanted players for a reward, similar to Blades of the Darkmoon in the first game.

* If you're offline, AI phantoms will be used in place of player phantoms for invasions and boss fights.

* Areas in the world feature puzzles and "gimmicks" to help keep exploration fresh.

* Storytelling style remains largely the same. From Software knows that fans will theorycraft with each other based on the trails of breadcrumbs left in dialogue and item descriptions, so they're not going out of their way to make things more explicit.

* They're listening to feedback from the network tests: Animations and movement are being improved, there will be some way of avoiding invasions.

To any Final Fantasy fans out there.

I would play this version over the real one any day if it existed.

After the Wolf 2009 fiasco, I think those may be famous last words.
