Debatable... Many say so... I actually prefer the console shooters though (Halo, Gears, Uncharted, ...)
Thanks for nothing, :pep: !!

Uncharted isn't an FPS though :)

Depends IMHo... I like games with a great mixture of depth/story, gameplay and atmosphere... Exactly why I hate CoD - it's got none of the above :D

My favourite shooter is by far MGS. I'm sure you've already played some of them if those are your criteria.

Back in PS1/2 days, I loved Splinter Cell: Double Agent and some of the Syphon Filter games (can't remember if the latter are first person or third person).

You can also play on the the couch with a PC. Nobody is preventing you especially now that there is Steam Big Picture and Steam Link. :P

That's true, it's what my friends always say. But it's still different from just pressing one button and everything is set up, and I find being able to shut down my PC (which I am otherwise in front of all the time) while playing to be something refreshing. Just the thought of using the same device for gaming makes me uncomfortable.

Playing an FPS with a gamepad is downright wrong. Go to any PC FPS competition and see if any pro gamer plays FPS with a gamepad.

You have to see me trying to play an FPS with a gamepad. I aim everyone except on the opponent. I see the sky, I see the ground but not the enemy. It's really hard aiming with an analogue stick but then again I never had a console to play FPS with.

I know... But I'm not a pro... :P
I'm not particularly fond of online gaming anyways, so consoles are perfect for me... ;)
But I know that it's wayyyy more accurate with a mouse...
Thanks for nothing, :pep: !!

Hehe. I am used to mice. Gamepads really frustrate me because my accuracy with them sucks so much. In fact I prefer playing a game like FIFA with a keyboard. I know direction is much better with an analog stick but I often end up directing wrongly, such as running the ball out while running along the flanks.

Even the Single player experience is that much better on PC IMHO. Controls much better and controllers are still available. Better performance, graphics blah blah blah but I'm sure it's been hammered into your head a million times so let me just say that I didn't get to 200+ games on Steam without starting on Console and realising PC was better in pretty much all aspects.
