I disagree. Actually I don't quite disagree, but I'm indifferent to it.

I don't think it's Simon's fault. On the contrary, Simon improved a lot from 4 years ago to now.

It is simply a population that is too in love with the "great leader", comparing him to God, and a population willing to be bought out. If the win is indeed that big, then he would have won even if he had been contesting vs EFA.

Simon Busuttil is the worst party leader from the two main parties that I remember. He had a great opportunity to win it, but he cost PN the victory IMO.

EFA would have won by 40k votes.

Hmm what makes you think so?

I genuinely believe Joseph Muscat has such a cult around him that he would have beaten anyone. I didn't believe it this morning, but it's evident now. How can you possibly go through everything that happened especially in the last year and lose just 2k votes? It's beyond all logic.

I feel the need to follow nm's footsteps and apologise for my country's decision to our European brothers and sisters.

Nobody cares about us. We'll get a 15 seconds mention on Euronews tops. No need to apologise.

The EU ones will care if it reflects badly on them, imo. But may it not.

@ramsej: unsurprising. I'm the first one who would have voted for them if it was a different election. I hope PD got elected at least.

The guy in front of me was planting new plants to kill the time...

The EU did not listen to SB when he told them about the corruption going on.
This shows how corrupted they are themselves.

Something to note is that Gowzef will not be contesting more elections

That's what he had said in the past but I don't exclude him contesting again, tbh.

You're wrong that the EU did not listen. They simply are powerless to intervene too much. The EP has called all PEPs embroiled in scandals in front of it. Our presidency of the Council has been marked by foreign politicians asking questions about Konrad Mizzi in particular. If anything, it's the Maltese government that ignored them.

Some members of the EU are currently pushing for rules that stop EU funding to countries that do not comply with EU law, mainly referring to Poland and Hungary. If this happens it will likely come to affect us in a different way.

But Poland and Hungary is a diff thing.
Have you heard about any terror attacks in there? No. Why?

They are, but Poland and Hungary are simply the motivation behind this decision. It will apply to other laws as well.

I like Metsola and Comodini Cachia (Not Kirsty Debono) but don't think they have what it takes to lead.
