Welcome! What is it with Americans and Bayern? Seems to be a good amount of support from the USA (AirjapesFIFA,anyone?)

Umm have you seen MLS? haha... I was always a German NT fan & most play for FCB.

The Americans would know better than me on this topic but I think the fact that Klinsmann played here could have some effect.

I know there are many Americans living in Bavaria, like myself, for various reasons and jobs. I know first hand that the attitude, and way of life here definately appeal to many Americans and are also similar. Also, the food isn't bad either. I previously lived in Baden-Wuertemberg and it wasn't as fun or relaxed as Bavaria and I could never come to like VfB Stuttgart, 1.FCK or any teams around where I lived. I had heard about FCB before I came to Germany since they are such a large team and they get some publicity in the states on ESPN via Soccernet.

Welcome, welcome!

Entire south Germany is a beautiful place to live. Freiburg in spring is the best place in entire Germany, warm and fresh, very green, better than rest places in BW and BR. I suggest everyone to visit Freiburg in spring, because when I visited with my grandfather that town 8 years ago it was awesome, better than in Stuttgart where he had been lived for more than 35 years.

Hello, my name is Jesse. I am an IT support rep working and living in Pennsylvania, United States. My mother is from Germany and has supported Bayern since the 60's. I became a fan and follower after the 2002 World Cup. I have never been to Munich (yet) and have been a follower of this site for a year or so. I finally decided these forums need my 2 cents :D I look forward to some good debates with other passionate Munich fans.
