From a Cracked article! I usually follow Tour de France with one eye if a countryman is participating (so I followed it a lot when Jaan Kirsipuu won a couple of stages), and I was an amateur cyclist myself (in Kirsipuu's "academy", I even have one of the cycling shirts
he used). But what draws me to that guy is the sheer wackiness of him, and the idea that once Tour de France was a Looney Tunes cartoon, where competitors tried to make their opponents fail and cheat themselves as much as possible. It's just so damn hilarious.
