Of course. I had a C64 and then an Amiga. Hence my Fantasy Football team name "Commodore Amigas" :D.

Nice. I still remember those peeks and pokes ( :) ) when I was trying to create a program in my C64. I did own an Amiga then and later a CDTV in the early 90's. Way better for artistic work than almost anything else back then (I used to make music with it).

I mostly played games back then. One of the best memories I have from my C64 is Barbarian :D. A great game for its time with great attention to detail and with a "Fatality Move" way before Mortal Combat came out.

Oh, and also I my parents didn't allow me to play such brutal games which made playing it all the better of course.

(skip to 3:00 if you want to see the fatality move)

And then there are "Kick Off", "Kick Off 2" and their unofficial successor "Goal!" all by Dino Dini.

To this day three of the best ever football simulation games ever created. The great thing about these games was that the ball wasn't glued to your feet like in all other previous as well as successive football sims. The ball was an independent element on the pitch and if you had just touched it and then changed directions you'd simply run away from the ball which continued to travel forward.

There was some real skill involved in controlling the ball in Dino Dini's football sims.

I still remember our mini-tournaments with friends of mine, playing Goal! in Amiga.
Each one with his own tactical system in his diskette (probably most of the users here have never seen one)....

What about MaCk0y or quaazi?

When I read Mackoy I think of Blade Runner game. The main character (Deckard in the movie) was called Ray Mackoy, pretty similar to Roy Makaay
