Postby EQ Kimball » Sat Aug 22, 2009 11:11 am

To Muslims FCB fans here.

I wonder if Ribery and/or Altintop will be fasting again.

For sure brother.

If so that is really impressive. I was studying University and we had an African that played for the football (American) that would play while fasting as well. Gotta admire their perseverance.

They both fast, but not on matchdays. They won't fast on Saturday for example, cause that's the day we'll be facing Wolfsburg.

Oh, you would be sure if you were me.

I read it in an interview SportBild did with Ribery some time ago, I'll post it on here if I find the article with the link eventually. I'm not sure about other muslim players, but that's how Hamit and Franck do it.

I'm a Christian but I have a lotta Muslim friends, I know how they stuggle during Ramadan (in our country we call it 'Ramazan'), and they ain't even proffesional sportsmen... I can't imagine how hard it is for proffesionals, they body must be less productive, etc. but IMO this is good for them who really do this! why? well, a career lasts 10-15 years, but religion is forever!

Hey cruz! Even in India, it's called Ramzan!
Since our country is diverse in cultures, its a national holiday! Yippe! No college! :D
