CDU/CSU (black), FDP (yellow) and Green coalition (the colours of the Jamaican flag). A strange alliance but needs must. Better than GroKo at least.

Not sure about the FDP's immigration policy but they're certainly not left leaning in an economic sense. Only true left leaning party in that combination is the Greens. Will be interesting to see how Merkel acts with regards to the pressure from the more right leaning members of her party.

CDU is not left-leaning, neither is FDP...
In a grand coalition Merkel HAD to be more left leaning... But yeah, she’s a liberal...
Better than a Gauleiter and a Meuterer who somehow seems to be able to recognize Germans in the precinct - makes him the only person in the world able to do that

There are some notable big decisions Merkel has brought on the way that could be classified as politically left of the positions of Helmut Schmidt, and even Gerhard Schröder. Like the nuclear power exit, minimum wages, the Euro politics, and of course the refugee politics (I'm sure I could find more). She was even openly criticised by them.

Agree on refugees and maybe Euro...

Nuclear exit is just common sense... Anyone in favor of that shouldn’t wonder why I and others would call them dumb...

A pair of wild boars have gone on the rampage and injured at least four people in the northern German town of Heide.
Authorities warned people to stay indoors after the adult boars appeared early on Friday and began attacking pedestrians.
Public broadcaster NDR reported that at least one man had a finger partially bitten off.
Police said one of the boars was shot and killed outside a bank, but the other is still on the run.
Heide is 62 miles north-west of Hamburg, near Germany's North Sea coast and the border with Denmark. [source]

The funniest thing is... she's gonna come out of the jail after 6 months(if she doesn't die in the meantime) and say that again and no one and nobody can do anything about that except put her once again behind the bars. That's how things stand.
