So what about this, PAG which some have said it to be like something from 1944 ?

Then if it musn't be related to the crime ststistics so what reasons are you getting for it? Are the protestrts over reacting?

I don't want to start any of those never ending ego showing debates. I just want to understand what is this all about - you know how the EU works, Germany sneezes and we catch a cold. I know that in Germany privacy is sacrosanct, but are the people over reacting ?
Why the football ultras are so afraid that they will be heavily affected ? Is this another blow to fan culture there?

I think it’s only the Bayern ultras... Cause it’s strictly Bavarian... I thonk it's also about espionage and sabotage both economic and political... I see no other reason except counter terrorism which they all mostly deny or say it'll be used in many non terrorism cases respectively...

And you’re wuite on the spot IMHO: it’s personal freedom and privacy having a special status in Germany

No kidding, just to get the feel, one just needs to take a stroll through Google Maps streetview, and will soon notice many blurred things :)

Found this article from Sports Illustrated about it - I know that the title should read Statewide and not Nationwide - but it is doesn't affect just Bavarian fans, since even incoming ones are asking questions. From your description and that "imminent danger" looks very vague and far fetching, no wonder people are not comfortable. I am still not sure however why its the football ultras that are taking this initiative though - looks more like a cover for some anarchist or extreme anti-fascist groups such as Black Bloc.

Bayern Munich Fans Lead Nationwide Protest Against Controversial PAG Law in Bavaria

"The new law, which is set to be approved by the state parliament on May 15, will allow officers to intercept phone calls, emails and data, as well as ban individuals from certain locations and place them under preventive detention for up to three months at a time in cases of "imminent danger".

"Almost all of us are affected by the new law in Bavaria," a statement from the football fan association in Germany, Fanszenen Deutschland, read - quoted by DW.

"When we travel to away games in Bavaria, police forces are already more aggressive than in other states. We ask ourselves, how will it be when they'll have even more power?"

Well, they always think they’re being treated unfairly and banned for no reason...
Plus soccer is the most publicly present platform...

Quite a sizeable crowd - and it wasn't just the ultras.

You’re mixing up things buddy... First of all life here is not unsafe... Secondly, soccer stadiums are private affairs of the clubs, not public safety...

Yes I am... How do YOU know who roams OUR streets?

Again: Stadium safety is not a police issue...

there was no question in there...

If you stopped being emotional, we could talk about this soberly... But you’re once again mixing up three different things and I fail to see the relevance...?

It should be though although I imagine it'll stretch resources too much

Well, there’s been a lot of argument about how clubs should pay for police for risky games (like HSV-Bremen) - cause in the streets it is but not in the stadium, where stadium security is present and paid by the clubs... I still don’t see ramseij's point...
