I don't find it hard to learn how to read and write. It's so easy in Spanish. In German reading can be real tricky when you face the compound words, but writing is more than okay for me.
I guess when you spend some time in France you'll quickly have an opportunity to place all puzzles in your head and get a clear picture of the language. Maybe the same thing will happen with my Spanish and German speaking skills in the next years when I expand the knowledge. Sometimes I have a day that I can produce a lot of things, speak so easily, talk to myself about the tasks and exercises in the books and sometimes I can't even read without stuttering.
The wind and sea are to be blamed for these days.
