Fertility rate in Malta below EU average, and falling [source]
My country started giving a monthly pay to every mother who has three kids or more. It's not only Malta...
that is very good ...
but here we cannot do it for reasons that I am not ready to write here...
more on this. ....
The pressures women face when they have children need to be better addressed if Malta’s birth rate is to improve, according to Labour Studies Centre director Anna Borg. [source]

Dr Anna Borg, we do NOT have a fertility problem.
What we have is a MONEY problem because the wages have not increases as much as the cost of living which should include the expenses needed to not only have the children but educate them and all other expenses to bring them up.
Parents are acting responsibly by not having a brood of children but limiting themselves to give a good upbringing to their children within the constraints of their means, unlike the illegal immigrants who do not care anything about their children but have as many children as possible and then shift their responsibility on the state.
This is exacerbated by the modern capitalistic forcing of women to go to work to provide more income not only for themselves to make ends meet, but also because of the capitalists wanting to continue fattening their dirty pockets by keeping wages low so that both partners have to go out to work to make ends meet.
So how can women have more children, take care of them, take care of all the household chores and go to work at the same time?
This is the capitalists world that they are promoting and not because Malta has a fertility problem.
