Austrian teacher replaces ‘God’ with ‘Allah’ in song to appeal to Muslim kids [source]

It's because "Gott" is very bad to hear and Allah sounds better and more Austrian. Perdon, Austrians need to integrate into society.

Haha that is multicult at its best.
In Maltese would have been almost the same... Alla without the H at the end...
I do not consider it very bad cause he is just using a different word(a foreign choice)

Personally I find it a bit silly that the world Allah is equated with the Muslim God. It's just the Arabic word for 'god', just like 'dieu', 'Gott', 'dio' and so on. But perhaps I see it that way because as ramsej pointed out, our word for God is a variation of 'Allah' and we use it for the Catholic God.

What bothers me is that it should be the other way ...
The guests should adopt to the new language and instead adopt to the new word.

In the meantime have a look

Does it really mean God or it's the equivalent of the Hebrew God name, Jahweh?

It's not the problem in the meaning of the word. We also say Alah here in Balkan, especially in BiH. Even those muslims also know to use Bog(God) just as Christians do.

When we get angry and have an argument, some Croats know to say: "Neće ti pomoći ni Alah Bog kad te razbijem!" or "Alah God won't save you when I brake you!".

But I don't think Austrians swear God and Alah as close as Croats, Serbs, Bosniaks and Montenegrin swear :P , but it's completely stupid to 'integrate' someone by allowing him to speak some words on his own language.

Does it mean that Austrians show allow Maltese and Croats to use their important or frequently used words in the name of 'integration', 'solidarity' or I don't know what? In India or Indonesia they forbade Christians to use word "Allah" for God, just because they aren't muslims. :)

Remember the Heartbreak Ridge?

Is there another word for God in Arab? Or do they say someone believes in more than one God, he believes in many Allahs?

The point is - Croats from Dalmatia, Istria, Hrvatsko Zagorje can use their dialect words instead of standard language. Who can say to anyone that is incorrect, not allowed, etc. :D

Why would Bavarians speak hochdeutsch when they can speak Bavarian anywhere they want to? :D

for Muslims it is blasphemy so they won't even think about more than one...
This is what is common between Islam and Christianity and Judaism ... Monotheism ,,, ONE GOD ...
Coincidentally today I read about Akhenaten an Egyptian Pharoh https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akhenaten who had the first idea of one God.

In Maltese we refer to God in other names as well Kristu (Christ) Mulej (hebrew) (signore in Italian)

I don't know about Arab but in our language "Alla" means God, not Jahweh or Allah or whoever. You could say "l-Alla Grieg Zeus" (the Greek God Zeus) or even the plural "allat".
