I don't think that there can be any 100% reliable translator... it's one of the things they can't invent. Humans > Machines

Very off topic but you are underestimating the power of technology. I bet that in 5 years time no single human translator will be as good as the technology.

IMO, contextual translation won't be 100% correct. The literal meaning and contextual meanings can change the understanding of a statement. Natural language processing is a very vast field. For correct translations, you'd need to feed unimaginable size of data - all meanings, semantics, uses, forms etc.
Technology may close the gap but cannot better the field of human language understanding.
However, it is the most lingual 'person', if I may say so.

Coming back to topic, Robben only said something like it's better for him to be in form if he plays regularly and he should only be given minimal random breaks a player needs. He'd be sure starter for me and I think Pep values him the same.

It's a question of time. In the mid 90s, computers beat the top humans at chess. It's only a matter of time until computers beat top humans at translation. Currently they're working on a mobile app that will be launched in a few years' time that allows you to talk to a foreigner in your native language and he'd hear you talking in his language. That's even more complicated as it needs strong voice recognition as well.

In Chess you have A B C D E F G H - 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8... You can 'teach' that to a computer, and I'm not surprised at all that they can beat humans in that, even in that computers don't always win. Language is more than A B C D E F G H - 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8, unless languages start to adjust/adapt to computers(exact science) such a thing is impossible. OK, maybe if you gather to the database a bazillion of sentences, but still I don't think it can ever be 100% accurate. It can improve but still not up to 100%...

Chess has certain probabilities and can be predictable. Language is ever growing and changing.

Some elements, like humor, will be lost in translation. A sentence can have different meanings and interpretations.

But it is very possible. I watch a lot of Korean and Japanese media and there are subbing groups that develop their own software to create a rough translation for speed then they edit it afterwards.

Even a bad google translate is still comprehensible and one can understand the gist of it.
