India has successfully completed the Mars Orbiter Mission (Mangalyaan -translated as Mars Craft) in it's first attempt with just the meagre cost of 70m dollars. The satellite is in Mars Orbit now. :D

WoW... But still with all due respect those money could have been spent more wisely.

It's not like money is not being spent, it almost always goes into wrong hands. There are scams in billions. And India also spends far more on defense. A single Dassault Rafale costs 100m dollars and India is going to buy 126 of them from France over next few years, deal already done. So, I think money well spent.

It's a miracle that Mars mission was completed only in 70m in first attempt. :)
NASA's Maven which too entered the Mars orbit just a day before cost around some 670m dollars.

Again...money spent on the damn weapons... I am not saying this just for India but for every other nation. Even those US bullies who trigger wars inorder to keep the armaments industry going... While ppl are starving or have no educ.

The weapon industry may never die and frankly that money should be put to better use.
Being a son of an army-man, I don't begrudge the money spent however. The borders here aren't as safe as you'd think.
Also, the weapon industry does harm the economy of the country buying but you've got to say that many countries are swooning over that money to sell theirs.

Take the case of Dassault Rafale :- It was chosen after competitions were invited. Eurofighter(Britain) was the other finalist. Russia is upset that India is buying from France. US is upset that they got rejected. Britain has been still even after they were turned down because there were some contract signing issues. It's yet not signed, almost 2 years after winning the tender, so they thought there's still chance.

Weapon industry, sadly my friend, will only end with the end of human race.

I know... I know and also about the ''cold war'' (am not sure though if is really cold or not) that you have with your neighbours...

Well my criteria requires you to be very good at one or two things haha, like for example I don't expect an O lineman to be good at running or throwing ,but he needs to good at blocking and understands his assignments.

The Filipinos have been fighting against them for a long time, if I remember right. The rest of the world just now notices the problem.

We've had Muslim rebels as long as I can remember. Not the first foreigner they've kidnapped and beheaded. They even do that against their fellowman.

We're an archipelago with 3 major islands, Luzon (everything is centered here), Visayas, and Mindanao. Mindanao is predominantly Muslim and the rebels there had been wanting to secede Mindanao for as long as I can remember. Our government has been at war with Muslims and even another rebel group that believes in communism for a very long time.

This ISIS threat will not be resolve by drone air strike. It's hard to erase an idea.

agreed ... this is a new type of war... before it was land vs land, Prince vs Prince, etc but now this is a totally different war. It won't be easy for the civilized world to get rid of these sub-humans and I think they will eventualy succeed in conquering the world for a period of time...
