The Singapore, Indonesian and other governments have requested the Barcelona team to aid them in their search for AirAsia flight QZ 8501. The plane, destined for Singapore after taking off from Surabaya, was reported to have lost contact with air traffic control around an hour after taking off, at 7.18am ET. According to reports, Barca team members have been requested to join the search because of their diving ability which is reported to be unparalleled by anyone in the world. Barcelona team players, who all have the ability to dive with the sleekness of a dolphin are widely believed to be the team best qualified to lead the underwater search.
UPDATE: As further details emerge, it is reported that Lionel Messi will not dive into the water, but will instead dictate the operation like a Dictator. Messi will supposedly sit in a control room giving instructions to the divers on what to do, though he might end up walking all over the control room doing nothing. Leading the operation of diving into the water will be Neymar, with Sergio Busquets and Dani Alves supporting him and the rest of the team following behind. Luis Suarez will eat any underwater animal that comes close to the team.
FURTHER UPDATE: It seems like Xavi is reluctant to dive as he says "the water is too deep"
