Liar. Big fat liar.

Come on, at least admit you enjoyed ridiculing Ancelotti's faith in Xabi Alonso last season.

Again some of you people have a misunderstanding of natural selection (and laws of physics), it is not a theory of chance overnight and life on Earth is far from being perfect, it has many flaws and limitations. The same with the universe with its laws and composition. "What were the chances of life being like this" is an erroneous way to put it. And I hope some of you don't deny evolution here because that would be like saying Earth is 6000 years old. It has been proven, it is a law, it's studied in school. It is also statistically impossible for better evolved life not to exist somewhere else in the universe. Anyway, I explained in the other thread.

And while life may feel like a big deal to you, it's actually a random blip of matter and energy in an uncaring and impersonal universe. When it ends, a few people will remember you for a while, but they will die too. Even if you make the history books, your contribution will soon be forgotten. Humans will go extinct, Earth and the Sun will be destroyed. Eventually the universe itself will end. This is the reality and against this appalling reality how can your life have any meaning? It has none.
This is one of the reasons the belief in a god (or gods) is so popular: it softens the brutality of existence by imbuing the universe with meaning through cheating an easy, unresearched, lazy answer. People want to feel special no matter how uncultivated they are.

Not gonna write a lengthy post yet, but: Religion is supposed to spiritually guide you through life, imbue you with positivity due to that faith and belief; it is NOT the meaning of life itself. Let's get that right.

It is kind of odd when atheists or other kinds of non-religious people try to reason with religious people. Religion is greatly influenced by upbringing and it remains in a separate plane of thought, (isolated, like many integrated aspects of personality gained in childhood) so however rational or logical a person might be, he or she will by force eject all rationale from that "plane" if confronted with "facts" or invited to discuss something.

On the other hand, you can't confront gods with logic. Logic is made by men, and if we all can agree on something it is this - our perspectives are extremely limited. The idea of God and creation obviously stomps laws of physics, biology, archeology already, why then we assume that it is not equally impervious to logical thought?

So, there are two main issues
> religious are unwilling and/or unable to give access to their inner mechanisms of accepting religion, and
> imposing our idea of "reason" or "logic" is fruitless at best: faith does not work that way, it is openly IRRATIONAL. Which does not devalue it, just puts it into a different category.

We can either try to embrace irrationality of faith and have a possibility of worthwhile debate, while the religious could try to give their own words instead of quotes, or we could let this spiral into a grand waste of time

Sorry, I dont want to accuse anyone here, I am just giving my opinion, but I have to clarify that hapiness is the most important thing, If God make you happy, then I support you.

For me, I feel very happy and freedom without a God rules

You don't want to accuse anyone, but throw around words like stupid and weak mentality? Nice try, I see that bigotry exists amongst non-believers too, what a shame.

God doesn't make me happy, life does. That was the whole point of my post.

Unfortunately no, but one of the reason people believe in God is because they dont accept the death as a true reality. Believers want to believe that there is another and better life than the real one...

I cant speak for all atheists, but the answer should be a clear "no". Neither do I believe in any supernatural phenomena (ghosts, mind-reading, reincarnation, destiny, etc).
