The Toyota IQ has been voted as the most reliable car by UK voters. [source]
Another blow for the Volkswagen Group after the recent scandal, with only one car (SEAT Leon) in the top 10, although it is the only car by a European manufacturer there.

Interesting personal fact: My late grandfather (whom I sadly hardly remember) was the person who sold the first ever Toyota car in Europe back in 1960.

Was involved in a traffic accident for the first time this morning. Luckily no injuries and I have very minor damages (unlike the other car) but it's really infuriating because it was an easily avoidable accident. I was stationary and had been for 1-2 seconds and the car behind me was quite far off but was speeding and braked too late. I saw her coming from the rearview mirror and knew it was going to happen so I could brace myself and avoid injury, but the fact that I had the time to see that and know what's going to happen really says a lot about how avoidable this was.

Sorry to hear and glad you're fine.

It happened to me once while I was waiting my turn at a roundabout... I pushed myself through the roundabout in order to avoid the braking vehicle which ended up braking 6 metres in front of where the back of my car was. He was probably going at some 200km/h :)

Thanks :) This was in Birkirkara Bypass at 7:10 a.m. You know the kind of traffic that there is at the time. I honestly can't understand why she would speed even though there was quite a bit of space - you'd get stuck anyway.

At least no one was injured. I feel a bit sorry for her because her car is badly damaged and she could easily have avoided that by paying more attention. She's also not fully insured (unlike me) so it's even worse.

Incidentally there's where it happened to me too.

Wow talk about coincidences... I found out earlier that my cousin in Australia was also involved in an accident today. He shares my name.

The most important is that nobody got hurt, cars get fixed...
I had an accident with minor damages(a scratch, but it infuriated me anyway, at first I thought that he broke my car). Someone crashed me from behind in a crossroad when I used my breaks to stop cause a pedestrian got in front of me. He had more damages than me but it was his fault so I had him pay for mine... police was there and witnessed everything but I gave him some food for thought despite that. :P

That explains everything... case closed.

Oh am sorry... Thank God all is well... of course that by-pass is always stuck with traffic I can imagine all the horns polluting the air...

You're a motorbike driver right? I'd love to learn how to drive one someday but I don't trust other drivers enough to feel safe.
