All patriotism is to a certain extent. I mean, I appreciate a country's culture and am definitely in favour of preserving and safeguarding it, but it's a whole other thing to go into the realm of superiority and dying for one's country and obsessive tastes (e.g. "our mountains are the best in the world" - something I've heard).

It's a country of 300 million. There are idiots in it just like any country who take things too far. Mostly we have fun with our patriotism and acting/knowing our country is better than yours. Which is funny because most of us like (even look up to not that I'm gonna say it) your countries and try not to act like jackasses when we visit or talk about you. Yeah we have idiots like trump but it's not like we are special in the racial idiocy compartment considering some countries still throw bananas at their black athletes and have pegida/afd whathaveyou. We fail at being jackasses a lot but there you go. Don't like it? Go duck yourself no one cares.
