Thomas Mueller has a thigh injury and is doubtful for the match against Bochum. Heynckes said that if he is not recovered, there is no need to risk him and he would not play in that case.

Huh, that means that we'll most likely see Alaba starting, perhaps even Pranjic.
As long as Gomez, Ribs 'n Robs are playing we should not worry :P

Wow. This is the first time we've needed a thread for him in the injury section? Nice.

Thomas Müller is feeling sick and has not been included in today's matchday squad.

Bayern dont play any "tough" opponent till October 25 and 28 when they play Lille in the UCL group stage and then Bayer Leverkusen on the weekend, so no injured player needs to be rushed with everyone being at top form.

Lille isn't what I'd really call "tough" per se, neither is Leverkusen though we do have to be wary of both.

I know but compared to the games that precede them, those two opponents i have mentioned are the next hard games coming up

Or it just means that JH is giving him a day-off without the need of having the media come up with nonsense conclusions.

I don't think he leaves Müller out of the squad entirely just to get the media off his ass. He's already established that they can all go f*ck themselves and that if he wants to bench "40 Million Man" he does so whenever it pleases him.

After the nose/eye bleeding forced Thomas Müller off after just 26 minutes against Hoffenheim, it was found there was nothing serious at all and he didn't even need to go to the hospital to be treated. After the match he joked "I will probably need a pair of sunglasses at the Oktoberfest tomorrow".

Would still prefer it if he got some rest, especially in the INT break.

Nice to know he's ok. I was surprised the Bayern website didn't mention anything about it, as it looked like a nasty cut on TV.

More importantly, it's great to see Muller in good form again!

Text message from FCB says Thomas suffered some sort of a muscle fiber tear. No details.
