Get well soon Thiago. De Gea won's see you in Manchester after all.

That only means a much bigger chance of Man Utd fans seeing Kroos at Old Trafford though.

Back on topic, I'm gutted for Thiago. He'll miss some really important matches. You can almost say his season is over. He'll only possibly be fit in time to play in the German Cup final and/or Champions League final, providing his teammates are up to the task to take the team to the next stages of competitions. Even if he's fit in time, he probably still wouldn't be risked coming in at that stage.

Hard luck, Thiago!

Yep will miss the most crucial month and I don't know if he'll be included in Spain squad for WC.

Unless there are complications, I can't see del Bosque NOT calling him up.

The start of ill luck Man Utd fans have been wishing on us...
Oh God how much I hate them especially the Maltese ones...

the players and the coach reaction to Thiago's injury; they are very worried, and rightly so... [source]

Not particularly concerned and would have preferred Kroos to start over him against United anyway, since I see Kroos as superior. I don't really see Thiago as important to our success as some do and we've proven that numerous times this season and I think his injury will actually have zero impact whatsoever on us. That said always sucks when a player is injured so I wish him the best and a swift recovery.

Can someone post a quick stat of results of when he was absent...?

I've made a quick search, he was mostly employed in the second part of the season(when according to :pep: we've actually improved our football)

In the game vs BVB he came in and changed the game and vs Stuttgart he scored the winning goal...
He started 14 games:
Buli :
Braunschweig 2-0
Augsburg 2-0
Werder 7-0
HSV 3-1
Monchengladbach 2-0

Stuttgart 2-1 (played in Jan 20114)

2nd round
Frankfurt 5-0
Nuremberg 2-0
HSV 5-0
Hannover 4-0
S04 5-1

Champs league:
Man C 2-3
Arsenal 2-0
Arsenal 1-1
he was voted as the best player for the month of February.

His style against United would be just perfect,it's really bad news but we can live with it just fine,Muller/Gotze/Schweini can play there.
I think it's time for Gotze to step up after all these average performances this month.

I hope for a quick recovery for Thiago this is a nasty injury and very dangerous.

I would say a bigger impact on us performing better in the second half of the season is that Guardiola stopped toying with false 9 as much as he did in the first half and also began playing 4231 mixed in a bit more, which is better suited to the players that we have and what they were used to with Heynckes. First half of the season there was quite a bit more fumbling because Guardiola changed our tactics quite a bit to which we had to understandably adapt and began playing players out of position which also took some getting used to. By the second half of the season we got used to Lahm in the holding position, for example, and Guardiola finally got it out of his head to use false 9 so much over a true striker. We still use it sometimes, but we've gone with a true striker far more often in the second half. For me there was a big improvement with tactics and cohesion in the second half.

I also think part of the reason why we drew at home to Arsenal was because of the starting lineup chosen by Guardiola, which included Thiago over Kroos (where as Kroos was vital away to Arsenal). In all fairness, though, I think the bigger mistake was fielding Götze over Müller.

Shit he'll miss the most important month of the football season. Get well soon Thiago.

I am worried about the injury. I see Thiago as a very important piece of the Bayern puzzle these days. Hopefully Gotze and Kroos start delivering world-class performances consistently over the coming weeks.
