Alabama and Farinha? Is it just a joke or have you been smoking something, T?

Nah, Alabama is standard Google translation. Farinha I took from a newspaper article written by Element today.

I started calling Alaba "Alabama" a while ago. Hmmm, so I'm not the only one, then! (Yes, this IS about google translate f*cking up Alaba's name.

I'm just wondering if Farinha would play better than Rafinha -- if so, then I vote we go as far as changing the name on the back of his jersey too.

Since no one else has gone there yet today, courtesy of Wiki:

"Farin[h]a is a cereal food, frequently described as mild-tasting, usually served warm, made from cereal grains. In contemporary American English use, the word usually refers to Cream of Wheat brand cereal made from soft wheat. Wheat farin[h]a is a carbohydrate-rich food, often cooked in boiling water and served warm for breakfast, or cooked with milk and made into semolina pudding. It is used as an ingredient in many dishes and in processed foods such as breakfast cereals and pasta.

The word farin[h]a comes from the Latin farin[h]a, meaning meal or flour."

That's funny. And he would get lots of laughs if he was referred to as farinha.

The right-back Rafinha, from Bayern Munich, was injured 4 weeks ago in a friendly match against Napoli at the last day of the pre-season for Bayern Munich in the town of Riva, in Italy. Once he was injured, he had to immobilize the foot and then had to go through a period of intense physical therapy. At the moment, the right-back is already running in the field and expects full training with the team next week.

"I was playing a great pre-season in Riva, but unfortunately I ended up hurting my ankle. I went through a period of rest and then started doing physical therapy. Now, I feel fine and ready to help my teammates in the beginning of the Bundesliga next week against Greuter Fürth, away from home," said the right-back Rafinha.

"Throughout my career, these four weeks was the maximum that I have not played. My luck is that it was still early in the pre-season and therefore I had enough time to recover without rush and in the right way. I feel really good and almost 100%. Next week I will be able to train with the group and will be at the disposal of the coach in order to help the team in the beginning of the season. The team has won the Super Cup and I hope this result gives us moral to start the right ways in the Bundesliga," concluded.
