This injury shouldn't affect us so much at the moment but we're in big trouble if Contento or Lahm go down too.

Boateng is the all-rounder to back up the fullback positions, and we have a solid amount of centerbacks to cover, so it's bad, but not a tragedy.

I'm sure even Tymo played at right back at least once last season!

He did. And it was a disaster.
But Q is right, we have Boateng and Lahm for the RB position. So we shouldn't worry that much. Contento and Lahm on the left side isn't that bad either.

Yeah, did he not get sent off when he played there?

We have full back cover anyway, just there injuries at this point in preseason are frustrating.

To be honest if Contento goes out too I would prefer seeing Gustavo as a LB rather than having to move Lahm to LB, Boateng to RB and put in Dante/DVB.

Good point. Perhaps he'll even get some minutes in China as Lahm's deputy, because I doubt Boateng will want to be thrown around between center- and rightback now that the Euros are done with.

The poor son of bitch can't catch a break can he? He seemed to be using this Summer training to get a chance to impress - now with the injury he will just occupy the bench again.

I know, I agree with you. Its that the player is unable to do anything positive at Bayern. It must be back when he played for Schalke and I kept cursing him and wishing bad luck on him. Maybe I'll tone down a bit not knowing who Bayern will purchase next.

Lahm is resting, Alabama is injured and so is Farinha. Boateng & Contento full backs?
