He will provide the assist to James to score the winner against Real Madrid in the CL final.

FWIW, I'm no expert, but to my understanding Coman suffered a grade III sprain (it was reported as a ruptured ligament/tendon and he had surgery on it; a grade III sprain is when the ligament ruptures entirely). Generally speaking the timetable for recovery is about 6 weeks at best and that's where he's at today. However it ranges from 6-12 weeks or so. The UCL final is 12 weeks, 5 days from when he was injured. Next month (May 12 as stated) is probably not out of the question but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't feature again this year. :/

It would be a huge boost if he was to make it for at least the semi final second leg but seeing him possibly return this season isn’t the worst thing possible....

when is he expected back?
Probably he has not even started the light training yet?

This is the latest update we're aware of:

Transfermarkt is estimating he'll be back in full training on 26th April, but that's definitely too hopeful. If he really did come back in full training on 26th April, he'd be an option for the 2nd leg against Real Madrid, not just a hope for possible games after May 12th.

He is without crutches from I think, Tuesday, but he is still making very light exercises.

I don't think that 2nd leg for Real is achievable. Neuer is ahead of him in his comeback, he has a chance for playing in Madrid.

Transfermarkt says that Coman is injured till May 12. I am beginning to think he’s out for the remainder of the season.

Yup. For a while now I've had him in the same boat as Neuer for me: If he (they) make it back, great, it will be a pleasant surprise. if they don't? Well, not that unexpected.
