Great to see him on the pitch! Hopefully if Bayern get past Juve and further into April and May he will be close to being match fit!

Watch us advance past Juve, and he makes a comeback against Barca....only to destroy Messi as revenge for last year!!! Would be so funny

Do you really think he will be ready for the semis ? I mean by ready fully fit and having some match practice under his belt.

"I hope to be able to play again halfway through April," Boateng told ZDF.

"I am at 60 or 70 per cent again right now. I will have to be patient for a bit.

"I will definitely not take any risks."

Boateng is therefore unlikely to feature in Bayern's Champions League quarter-final tie with Benfica, with the first leg at the Allianz Arena scheduled for April 5 and the return in Lisbon taking place on April 13.

The 27-year-old could make his comeback at home against Schalke on April 16 or three days later in his side's DFB-Pokal semi-final clash against Werder Bremen. [source]

So he fell a bit behind schedule but no biggy.

Yeah, he can take all April off and recover 100%. If he's ready by the start of May, it will be excellent news.

Boateng hopes to be ready for a potential CL semifinal. First leg is played 26th or 27th April.

Boateng himself said, on 31st January, that he expected to be back in 2.5 to 3 months (Mid to Late April).

Basically, Boateng is still on schedule with the prediction made in late January, which is a positive outcome given our woes in comeback predictions lately.

Ouch this means he is most likely out for a potential CL semifinal 1st leg, perhaps even the 2nd leg.

The semi-final is early than I expected. Still, the second leg shouldn't be at risk.

Well, if he returns to team training in four weeks, I don't know if he would be risked in such an important match after only a few days of team training.
