Torn some fibres in his adductor muscle (whatever that means) according to Kicker.

Thats just a fancy way of saying groin strain, so im stickin with my 4-6 week prediction cause i dont kno the extent of the injury and that is the average time it usually takes to recover from that. But until an MRI is done we wouldnt kno if it could be worse that he may need surgery which would he an 8-12 week or more recovery time or just a minor strain which would be 2-3 weeks....

Adductor injuries are very annoying and they usually appear again some time after you are recovered. :(

It happened to me, it happened to Robben, it happened to Badstuber and some more important players like Kaka

True groin strains and hamstring are very annoying, the best thing to do with those injuries is rest. I want Badstuber and even DvB to play in front of Boateng for the majority of this season so he doesnt risk it coming back again or even worse him needing surgery :(

Personally i found muscular injuries worse than ligament damage cause there usually is no easy fix for muscular injuries, the body has to do that all on its own and it takes a very long time and they can happen to you again frequently if you are rushed back in. While ligament damage u just go thru surgery and rehab for 6 months to a year then ur ready to go

I wouldn't say they are worse injuries but they could be potentially worse if you don't treat them well.

:( The only person worth being abbreviated "JB" (along with Jack Black) is out for 2 games :(
Thank god (and the board) for Martinez! Might give DVB a roll out at one point or another.
Jesus saves, but Kahn does it better ;)

I think you're underestimating DvB here. He was an equal with Boateng and Holger a year ago, and that was with 3 fit centerbacks.

With DvB on the field, the opponents will no longer give us corners and set-pieces on purpose. They'll have their game plan completely changed and hence confuse those bastards ;)

He also adds a new dimension to the attack. I remember telling my brother yesterday during the build-up before his offside goal, "Kroos will cross it, DVB will head it in." He also isn't afraid of running around with the ball a bit. Having him as a center-back for a week or two isn't the end of the world.
