ottackon wrote:As important as Boateng is, Bayern have the biggest roster in the world, and if things are done properly by the club, we should be able to align and rotate 3 good center-backs till the end of the season.
However, if Bayern are on the trail of a central defender for next summer, the negotiations could be accelerated in order to reach an agreement during this transfer window.

The biggest roster in the world will be reduced to the smallest roster in the world by the end of the season.

Non-sense. Feeling optimistic only makes the inevitable feel more disappointing.

Why is it taking this long? Is it that swollen that he can't bend his knee for a proper scan?

Boateng didn't suffer one injury: he suffered two. The first is a muscle injury in his left adductor, the second a groin tear. [source]

Groins are pretty much 3 months, now depends on his recovery. But honestly, don't rush him back, it's so easy to re injure it. Benatia and Holgie need to step up, simple as.

Doubtful for the match against Hoffenheim → "a longer pause" → four weeks → seven weeks → two months → at least three months → the rest of the season → the Euros in danger.

Atleast he won't get wrecked by Messi again and has a chance to get to the TOTY

:coffee:

Spoiler: show
Jokes aside, hope he recovers well.

From what I've read, he hopes that he'll be ready for Euro 16', which means he is surely out for the next 3 months, maybe 4.

Bayern's next problem are Benatia and Badstuber - both injury prone, veeeeeery... How to deal with them and expect to push till the end of the season with these two guys... What about buying a new defender in the middle of the season and who would be the guy to join us... We also never bought a guy to save our 2nd part of the season, it's not our way at all since we do everything in summer. Our only real targets seem to be guys like Laporte and Mustafi... Besides all of the counted, we are about to replace the current coach with a new one and then again we have to understand that the new coach might won't rely on that guy...

A lot of problems bother Bayern at the moment, but this isn't something new, nope. After 2013/2014 injuries have become something normal on a daily basis.

I'm very disappointed because of this damn injury.

Minimum 3 months out.

I always add a half month more to those diagnosis since it's likely that he won't be in superb shape and rhythm immediately after he recovers. Practically this means he is out for the rest of the season.
