Unfortunately, Javi Martínez has injured his knee again during a rehabilitation program, and will have to delay his comeback. [source]

Ouch. Good thing we have Lahm. I hope Kirchoff will be given some playing time on games against weaker opponents. :?

It's Bild and I read the same thing on Espnfc. He's having knee-troubles.

So disappointed.
I hope he gets well soon. We'll need after winter break for sure when the going will get tough.

STOP THE PRESSES! I got someone to translate Javi's interview done today by Bayern Munich, he only translated the important points since Bayern's site makes a translated version later on but it seems like the reports of him having a set back are not true. He says in the interview he expects to train with the team in a week, so where are these false reports coming from? :-k :-k :-k
Spoiler: show

fc.bayern.de: Javi, you underwent groin surgery 5 weeks ago, how do you feel at the moment?

Javi: I'm feeling very well, thanks. The surgery went well and also my rehab program is going according to plan. I'm already training again on the pitch, doing fitness, sprinting training and practicising with the ball again. In aiddition I'm doing a special strenth and stabilization training for my some of my musscles. All in all I can be content (of my progress).

fcbayern.de: Wie schaut dein weiterer Reha-Plan aus?

fcbayern.de: Where do you go from here with your rehab schedule?

Javi: We'll increase the intensity in the coming days to slowly get back to my 100% level. It's being done gradually to prevent any complications. My muscles need to become stronger. I think and hope that somewhere next week that I'll be able to gradually take part in team training again.

fcbayern.de: Wehn do you think you'll be able to play again?

Javi: I can't really answer that. The important thing is to practice again wihthout any pain and to then get back to the normal practice rhythm. I need practice, lots of practice to get back into shape quickly. Of course I want to be back ASAP but I don't want to force anything. At the end of the day also it's up to the coach whether I'll play or not.

To be fair I used the source BBcode so you can see, it's Bild. Perhaps it's a bit of both... maybe he did injure himself slightly, but not something serious. In any case it's great that he can recover soon :)
