My hope is to have him available for next year, in the second half season, because for the first half season, Bayern can keep in competition in the 3 tournaments without Ribery, but for win the treble is when we really need his presence in the left wing.

As I wrote before, he has all this year (6 months) for completely recover and this is why right now I am still positive for his situation.

As much I like his play I don't see him coming back. His age+injury time+recovery time+time to get to top notch form >33 and this not optimal age for attacking player.

Looks like things ain't going better for Ribery. L'equipe wrote today that Ribery could even retire.

There were some rumours about his possible retirement already a few weeks ago. His agent has dismissed those rumours but it doesn't look good. Hard to imagine Ribéry making a full comeback after being injured for so long. :(

first of all, he is 32 year old .... less than two year older to Ronaldo .... second, I don't believe France newspaper, he quit national team and suppose he has special treatment there ... he's recovering in Munich, so German newspaper would bring something up first .... hope he'll be fully fit just before Christmas :)

Whatever happens, he'll always be welcome at Bayern in some capacity or another.

He deserves it. And he feels very connected to the club and the city, I remember he once said that he can also change his nationality. Hopefully he recovers, such a shame to see him retire early.

Could this be a contributing factor to why the medical team left? A misdiagnosis that caused aggravation? Ruining one of the club's foremost stars would certainly be a bone of contention between management.

Not that I expect anyone on here to have a medical background, but what could his injury be? It's obviously more than a sprain or even a break...

I'm certain we're past the "this smells bad" stage and we're probably closer to the "CRAP IT'S OVER" stage

He most likely had a severe underlying injury that went undetected and has advanced to a terrible state.

Is there anyone else who thinks he may never fully recover and get back in top form?
