The only reason I thought it might be okay was Götze possibly succeeding on the LW, but that has obviously not panned out (at least yet).

Couldn't agree more. We should of took griezmann or reus. Even if ribery managed to recover for next season, he should play as a super sub and not as a first team player. We cant afford to reserve a spot for a player who is old with recurring injuries.

On Kicker it says that Franck Ribery must completely Rest his foot for 2 weeks (which means no training) , and must wear special shoes to reduce pressure on his injured foot

So most likely he will miss till the end of the season

*sigh* considering the lack of official statements on him I would not be surprised if he were forced to retire... only feigning eventual recovery to give us a bit of leeway in the transfer market would be taking one for the team, putting it mildly.

but I fear for him. :|

Poor Franck...I bet he's another causality from the bitch fight between Guardiola and Mueller-Wohlfahrt.
I hope that recovers back to his old form.

I think it was reported that Ribéry continued to be treated by Dr. M-W?

Bayern staff discovered that Ribery has a broken ankle after being out for 8 weeks, not Müller-Wohlfahrt.
