^^ Thanks for that information. To be honest, I can't be convinced that there was that much contact; Ribery may have milked it a bit.

Yep. Disappointed. Actually Ribery put his foot in front of the Ukrainian's left leg and fell. The Ukranian tackled with his right foot while he didn't raise his left foot to trip Ribery. He could have easily avoided the tackle and continue on his run.

Basically what you are describing here happened in less than a second, hell you probably couldn't even break down his movement like this without seeing it in slow motion... :P Any kind of implication that he could have or should have avoided that tackle is just not justified imo..

I'm not sure there was much contact either, but falling there is quite standard, considering the guy was already yellow carded, any kind of tackle in that position is an obvious second yellow, and the whole thing was in the 48th minute, so I'd say he played it perfectly.

The "dive" has put him out of the top of the league clash against Dortmund and he is also considered doubtful for the match against CSKA.

Now that depth in midfield doesn't look too stupid. But seriously, is this the most injury prone season ever?

Taking BVB and also others into account, this might be the most injury prone BuLi season.

But Ribery might be the worst one to do without, especially with the BVB game in mind.

Even if hes ready and i think he will be, he shouldnt start against dortmund, those couple of games were hard and close, he needs some rest.

Put him in the bench and use him if the game is unsolved in the 2nd time.

ehm...guys.. He's not just doubtful..
This was Guardiola's comment at the press conference just now when asked how long Rbery will be missing:

"Er fehlt lange. Ich bin nicht der Arzt. Ich weiß es nicht genau. Ich hoffe, dass er bei der Klub-WM spielen kann."

-> He will be missing for a long time. I am not the doctor. I don't really know. I hope he will play at the Club World Cup.

I feel bad for him. Not only is he missing important matches but also the critical Ballon d'Or time.

It's especially bad that the deadline for the votes was extended due to lack of participation. The votes were supposed to be in ont he 15th, now it's the 29th. After Christian O.'s performance I'm sure a lot of the missing votes will go towards him.

Ive started hoping Bayern could now lose some points in the coming Bundesliga matches but there really arent any opponents Bayern can lose points against. Braunschweig and HSV at home and Bremen away. You will play 17th matchday against Stuttgart at the end of January so I guess you will win all the remaining games this year, except the one tomorrow of course. :P

Get well soon Franck.

In response to Guardiola's comments saying he was hopeful that Ribery would be able to play in the Club World Cup, the player himself said: "By then I'll be able to play for sure. I think I'll be able to play in 10 to 14 days, maybe with pain, but then so be it. I'll just have to play through it."
