Today Ribery complained of mild lower back pain. Despite this, his place in Saturday's match against Wolfsburg should not be jeopardized, as he managed to finish the session despite the pain.

Same thing as last week, I am getting worried now. We can't afford not to play him but we shouldn't overdo it either.

Ribery: "I still have pain, but I feel much better. I can play on Saturday," "It's not much fun. It is brutal, even the warm-up is difficult in this cold. Minus 11 degrees, it's too much."

Ribery individual training

Postby brickwall281 » Sun Jul 15, 2012 10:14 pm

Hello, there is a question that formed in my mind as I was reading the official news, and I just wanted to ask, why is Ribery on individual training, is he injured? Or is he just using his vacation time to train?

Thank you in advance

It seems like the reason is for him to get in form, but he doesn't have a real injury.

Yeah, I think maybe he just lost a bit of fitness after the Euro's. Maybe a few to many refreshments or just fatigue.

Ribery is 29 guys :( I can't believe it but form will become an issue this season more than ever. *tear* We must prepare for another 2010-2011, despite my hopes that we won't have a similar season.
Jesus saves, but Kahn does it better ;)

I kinda agree. his time is running out, especially for a winger, and I'm not sure we will see the best of him again. I will let him prove me wrong, which I hope cuz I like him -- same goes for Robben. Our best season with both of them was 2010, and Ribéry missed out on the final, and I think that would have been won if we had him. But I think this is the deciding season, if Robbery doesn't live up to their fame then I can see them being replaced in the following season.

Ribery can always reinvent himself as a trequartista.

Hence why we brought in "The Shaq"!

"Power Cube" is a RM, Ribery is a LM, I'd prefer playing Shaq as a RM any day to LM, I suggest finding an LM for the future soon

Shaq is versatile enough to play either wing, and we've got Alaba, so if Ribery does get injured we have plenty of cover in the short term.
