I personally believe that the problem with robben is now more psychological than physical, and this can be fix by the right coach or staff.

Robben needs that spark again, because he can be(used to be) one of the best wings in the world. We need that back [-o<

If this was messi or ronaldo who scored it, then it would be put down as one of the greatest goals in history. Unfortunately it wasnt, and it was scored by a man who i believe have the ability to become better than them.

The problem is that he has been fed this weird idea that he needs to be a team player nowadays. I think this mentality has completely ruined him. He's trying to be something he's not, so his actual strengths aren't displayed.

I share your opinion about him.

But yes... thanks to injury prone he can't be that kind of player. I considered Robben in that season for a 3rd best player on the world, what he was, but injuries are stopping it to be constantly.

I dont understand, cant they treat him or something. Messi was like that and now he's a machine. There must be some way to fix him

You can't go against you own nature. I don't know what happened to Messi that he can 4-5 years in row play space football, but it works fantastic, I can barely recall that he had one or two games brakes in entire last season or season before the last one.

Same situation is with Ronaldo who was injured in 09/10 against Marseille and after that he is playing every single game and have no worries about injuries. Maybe because they are so protected from the referees and they are spent of hard tackles or sometin', I don't know... But Robben's problem is not from yesterday, he pulls it from the PSV time. Only in Groningen there weren't any injury problems. His career is marked with these frustrating injuries. De Boer or someone else from the stuff in Holland squad said that he is the most talented player in Nederlands now, but he can't demonstate it because of well-known reason. Without it he would have been today near these 2 guys on throne.

It would be disaster for football world, but if he decides, there's nothing to do.

I hope this is what we will see.

In season 2009/10 he showed why people were thinking that he is world's 3rd best player after Messi and Ronaldo. Without that injuries, I'm sure he would have competed with Ronaldinho and Kaka for football awards, and today against Messi.

For me, he's still that guy when he is in his best shape.

I hope he will back and start to avoid those fcking injuries.
