And yet Nerlinger remains optimistic:
Nerlinger nevertheless believes firmly in mind that Robben will definitely play again later this year.

Bayern Munich's Arjen Robben returns to training but Jupp Heynckes warns that 'he will not be rushed' back

"According to Goal.com Germany, the Dutchman trained yesterday with Bayern's fitness coach Thomas Wilhelmi performing sprints and heavy ball training for over an hour.

The Bavarian side's coach Jupp Heynckes was pleased with the 27 year-old's progress, but warned that the winger will only return to action when he is fully fit."

Well I'm hoping it's just smokescreen to prepare him for the Dortmund game, but then again...

And even if it is he'll find a way to get injured again regardless. :P

It's just under two weeks to go until the next game so he might make a small appearance. :)

I know I should not be doing this, but I can't help but feel a liiiittle bit optimistic of his chances returning against Dortmund.

He hasn't played a full game since 2 months so I think that being a starter against Dortmund is highly unrealistic, but we might see him in the second half. =P~

Robben has never, I repeat, never had problems with re-acclimatizing himself to football. It's the one thing that makes his injuries bearable. But I agree in the sense of wanting to prevent another injury.

no one can prevent/avoid injuries.real madrid were wise as they knew the answer for the question: who can resist injuries best ? that's why they "let robben down" and we rushed to him thinking mistakenly that we have better doctors [-X . that was a big MISCALCULATION from the boarding staff. i guess we should always keep robben as a sub and have him as a starter only in CL games .i know it's a silly idea but we badly need that guy with the fragile body.what about his family medical records in dutchland/holland ? can his health problems be due to biological inheritence and our doctors can do nothing about strenghtening his body ? ! what a pity !!! #-o

Lovely, so we'll be playing without two key men and an important substitute.
