Robben: I will return stronger than ever before [source]

"I promise that I will return stronger than ever before," Robben was quoted as saying by AZ.

"It has been a very difficult time for me mentally.

"You always want to help the team as a player. It's the worst thing possible when you are forced to watch on from the sidelines.

"Next season is very important for me."

Robben has scored seven goals in 22 appearances in all competitions for Bayern in 2015-16.

I hope he still has some benefits to provide us come next season. He could make a great rotation player throughout the season and could even start the important games if fit. I don't think we're planning to let go of him, so good thing he has the entire summer off professional competition to work on his body.

Making Robben a rotation player who splits time with Kingsley, Costa, Ribery, and perhaps another winger (Alexis Sanchez? Make it happen!) would be the best thing that could happen to him at this stage of his career.

He's too old and brittle to be an every-game starter, but he's still so lethal when on the field healthy. Still one of the best in the world.

Robben is too good of a player to accept a bit time role. It's one thing if your ribery, who has been known to be rather lazy with his recovery process, etc. However, Robben is a workaholic like Cristiano and accepting a bit time role is unacceptable to a person like Robben.

In addition, a healthy Robben is still the best winger alonger with Ribery on this team.

Robben should definitely be starting as much as possible when he's fit. We shouldn't be outphasing both of them at the same time anyway.

I don't know about as much as possible, I would prefer if his minutes were more or less regulated so for once we may be able to have him in the latter stages of the season.

The problem is not with him starting. He injures himself in training as much as (if not more) official games. There's no need to "keep him safe" as he probably won't be so for a long period. So, when he's fit, he should play IMO. That is, of course, his form is better than the other players.

Agree, no matter how much protection Bayern can give to Robben, in any moment he could suffer another injury, so if he is fit then use him as much as possible.

But Bayern need to sign another right winger, I know that is not easy to find a player who can fill permanent the Robben position, but we need another variety apart of Coman and Robben.

Arjen Robben plays down Bayern Munich contract, eyes return to fitness [source]

Robben not panicking, true champion... he knows that once he's fit that he'd be able to convince the board to keep him.

great attitude, hope he can regain fitness and stay healthy, we will need him! He can't be a starter all the time, but in big games he will probably need to be.
