This can be a blessing in disguise, just like Kroos got injured in March/April 2013 and Robben got a starting role. Now Robben is out and somebody is replacing him, this could be a good omen.

This is Kroos:

12/13 Muskelbündelriss 01.04.2013 13.06.2013

Almost the same date :D
Conspiracy theories...

Not wanna diminish Robben's quality, but Coman is a beast lately.

Hans Robben - father and agent - has moved to calm any fears of a long-term recovery : "Arjen will start training again next week."

Earlier I read he is out for 5 weeks, so that's maybe untrue?

He's hoping to start training with the team this week.

*fingers crossed*

This should mean he should be ready for the 2nd leg against Benfica, no?

I understand this week as Wednesday to Friday, otherwise they'd use today/tomorrow or weekend, no? Even in a worst case that he starts team training on Sunday, he'd have 3 training sessions with the team ahead of the 2nd leg. Probably enough for a place in the matchday squad. He hasn't been out for a long time.

Very good news. We're at the stage of the season where we need all of our guns ready. Plus, the competition for places between all four wingers will be interesting to watch.
