This match takes place in Sligo, about 2 hours' drive from where I live. I was tempted to go to see it - and thus see players who will play one day in the future German senior team - but the idea didn't work out.

Does anyone know whether videos - even the highlights - of U21 games ever become available on the internet?

You might get to watch the whole thing.

I don't think there are any Bayern players called up, are there?

No Bayern players. The closest thing we had to a u21 player was Emre Can and he didn't get called up for these two matches.

Bayern doesnt have a lot of promising German players in their youth ranks at the moment. Julian Green is probably Bayern's only real promising German talent.....

Thanks for these links. I actually found a good, steady stream – Eurosport Romania – and watched the game from the 25th minute onwards. By that time, Germany were 3-0 up. I saw these three goals in replays at half time and, of course, saw the late fourth goal too – some very good goals indeed. Germany were far superior, and the win was well deserved. Of the players, I was particularly impressed with Volland, Goretzka, Leitner and ter Stegen, but the whole team played cohesively and with good intelligence and a high tempo. They could do well at the finals.
